Society for the Study of Evolution

Scientific Research Organization

Founded in 1946, SSE promotes the study of organic evolution and the integration of various related fields of science. They asked us to update their branding with a new logo, offering a depiction of Darwin's finches as a design direction. After exploring the finches, we suggested the peppered moth whose coloration changed with the ebbs and flows of air pollution during the Industrial Revolution. The clients loved the modern feel of the logo and now use it across all their materials and their scientific journal, Evolution.
